FIRE AT CHURCH

£4OO DAMAGE. (Per Press Association.) TIMARU. August 16. Early this morning an outbreak ot fire in the Boys’ Sacristy of th' 1 Church of the Sacred Heart, i:i Craigie Avenue, was responsible for damage estimated at £4OO. The prompt turn-out of the brigade prevented the flames from spreading. Ten minutes’ strenuous effort sufficed to get the flames under control. For a time, the main building was in danger.
