The weather was fine and the track in fast order. The attendance was good. The tote investments were £27,0152. (win £11,163, place £15,8524) compared with £24,7374 on the corresponding day last year. Huntique drew up to Arcade six furlongs from home, and was followed across the top by Arcade, Pahu, Royal Lineage, Royal Limond, Hounslow and Invictus. Pahu and Huntique were the first over the last fence from Free Air, Rov*al Lineage and Royal Limond. Huntique outstayed Pahu in the run home and won bv three lengths, with Free Air two lengths away. Riccarton Stables turned out the fifth w’inner of the day when Sweet Agnes scored in the August Handicap. Bay Tree and Autopay were well backed. The fatter gave a lot of troubla at the bairrier. and got the worst of the start. Sweet Agnes hit the front after two furlongs to lead all the way. Autopay made a great showing, hut Bay Tree seemed unlucky in the early stages. The winner was going very easy at the finish and will win in better company in the immediate futurb. METROPOLITAN TROTS.
