BOARD FAVOURS NELSON SYSTEM (For Press Association.) AUCKLAND, August 15. The Auckland Education Board today considered the request by the Educational Institute for support in its opposition to B'ible-in-Sehools Bill, now before Parliament. The Chairman said the 25,817 children in the Board’s district received *ome religious instruction under the Nelson scheme, and the number was growing steadily. A total of 2548 children had been exempted at the request of their parents. After a debate the Board rejected a ni'otion declining to support the Institute, and adopted an amendment favouring the development of the Nelson system in preference to the system proposed in the B'ill.
