Advice has been received by cab e from England of the death of Mrs MacGregor, wife of Mr Justice MacGregor. The late Mrs MacGregor contracted a chill while in Englan and that probably 'was the cause of her death. She was not well when she left New Zealand for England, where she met her son and daughter but she seemed to have improved while in the Homeland. —Press Assn. Mr Hugh Stewart, Principal of the University College of Nottingham has arrived at Wellington by fho “Akaron” on a brief visit to the Dom Dion. From 1913 to 1926 he was Professor of Classics at Canterbury College, with the exception of the War vears, during which he com mantled the Second Battalion of the Canterbury Regiment. Davies was passed at last evening s meeting of the Grey Electric Power Board The Chairman (Mr Clayton) said the late Mr Davies had been a most obliging and tactful officer, and his position as Inspector of Factories would be hard to fill. The late Mr Davies had mixed a great deal with Incal bodies. He had always been willing to do anything possible for the local bodies and the unemployed.
