COMMITTEE MEETING. At the weekly meeting of the Management Committee of the West Coast Rugby League, there were present: — Messrs A. H. MeKane (chairman), A. Anisy, J. Anisy, A\ r . Barlow, B. Ramsay, B. Rathbun, and R. J. Harrington (Secretary). The following Reef ton delegates were present: Messrs Coxal!. Topp, Riley, and Me El wee and O’Brien (selectors). It was decided that an all-round charge of Is 6d be made for the re l presentative match, Canterbury v

West Coast, at Victoria. Park on Sat urday. Primary school children were to be admitted free.

G. A. Dutton (Reefton) advised ht would not be available for the repre sentative match. The New Zealand Council wrot? stating that Mr 'A. C. Hal) had been appointed sole selector and manager for the South Island team. The North v. South Island match would definitely be played at Auckland on September The Canterbury League wrote with reference to the teams arriving from Christchurch over the week-end. Fixtures were arranged for all of the visiting teams. It was decided that all gates should be sent to the Centre, 124 per cent, and advertising costs to bo taken by the Centre, the remainder to be divided equally between the clubs. The Referees’ Association advised that they would be holding a meeting on Saturday anernoon. AV. Bell, of Bell Hill, was granted registration.

A. J. Kennedy’s application for reinstatement was referred, with a favourable recommendation, to the New Zealand Council. Both applications were sent in by the Blackball Club. A. Mason, referee of the MaristBlackball senior match last Sunday, advised that Marist had arrived threequarters of an hour late. *Fr Harrington said he had heard from Mr Hall that one of the Marist players, Kennedy, had sprained his ankle just as the ’bus was due. to

Inangahua are out to show Canterbury that they are a better team than they were when Canterbury beat them in Christchurch, and as Canterbury have been strenuously training ever since 1 that victory, lovers of the code can confidently look forward to seeing something good on that day. As sport cannot be run on air, it is hoped that, patrons will contribute the usual amount at the gate.
