ANGLICAN DISPUTE

Rev. Bell’s Decision not To go to civil court. (Per Press Association.) CAMBRIDGE, August 14. Tn a statement this afternoon, regarding his announcement that it is his intention to appeal against Magistrate Paterson’s decision, and to defend his claim to the possession of the vicarage at Cambridge, Rev. Mr Uell said: “After much consideration, I have been led to abandon my intention of appealing and defending the action due to be heard at the next session of the Supreme Court at Hamilton. This means that I have been forced back upon what has been my contention throughout, that the matter is one which should be settled by the exercise of authority within the Church itself. I do not acknowledge the jurisdiction of the civil courts in the matter. I am willing to endure any consequences arising out of my failure to go further in civil court
