Tn thc Field Cup competition for juniors, Greymoutli defeated Hokitika by 15 games to 2. LADIES’ MATCHES. The qualifying round of the championship was played on thc links at Kaiata last week. Those who qualified in the senior division were Mrs Hannan, Airs Cunningham, Miss N. Tennent, Miss Griffen, Miss Kelly, Mrs McCarthy, Airs Prescott, Airs AlcKav.

The draw is: Airs Hannan v. Airs McKay; Aliss Griffen v. Miss Kelly; Aliss N. Tennent v. Mrs AlcCarthy, Airs Cunningham v. Airs Prescott. The junior division to qualify were Aliss C. Tennent, Aliss Jean Hambleton, Aliss Berry, Airs Smith, Aliss Cairney, Airs Aleade, Airs Warnes, Airs Kitchingham. The draw for match play is: Aliss C. Tennent v. Airs Kitchingham; Airs Smith v. Aliss Cairney; Aliss Berry v. Airs Aleade; Aliss Jean Hambleton v. Airs Warnes. The medal match played in conjunction with the qualifying round was won by Aliss Kelly (senior), and Aliss Jean Hambleton and Miss ,C a i rne y, a tie (junior). HOLE-IN-ONE. The distinction of being the first player to hole out in one on the new Kaiata links, was achieved by W. P. AlcCarthy, of the Greymouth Club. He accomplished this feat at the ninth hole (The Terrace), a distance of 120 yards. This is the second occasion on which AlcCarthy has holed out in one, he. obtaining one on the old Omoto course in recent years.
