SKI CHAMPIONSHIPS
Meeting at Mt. Cook (Per Press Association.) THE HERMITAGE, August 1. rhe Grand National ski championship is being hold al Mt. Cook, the competitors al] being at the Bali Hut. There is ideal weather, with a sunny sky, and the snow is in good condition, though slightly patchy in places on the Ball Pass. The past few days have been spent by the visitors in getting accustomed to the conditions and the snow. Fol’owing is the programme: Cross country championship for men and women; down hil| race; novice down hill race for beginners, men and women; rib! '.hi race; novice slalom, men and women; down hill championhsip; women’s down hill championship; handicap ski jump; slalom championship, men and women; consolation race, men and women; relay race for teams of four, two men and two women.
