BROSNAHAN DEFEATS HAWES. (Per Press Association.) ASHBURTON, August 1. O. Brosnahan, Ashburton (8.12) outpointed I’. Hawes, Christ church (8.8; in a 15 rounds bout. Hawes had the better of the first half, bul in the fourteenth round Brosnahiin establisheil a good lead and Hawes could not recover in the final.
