Sydney Damage FLOODS IN NORTH (Aus. and N.Z. Cable Assn.) SYDNEY, July 30. Cyclonic conditions brought rain nearly e ver y part of the State, during the week-end. Torrential falls caused flooding and washaways along the coastal districts The full force of the storm was experienced n Sydney, where rain has fallen contiguously for 60 hours. Severe damage has been done in the suburbs. Many parts of the North Coast are flooded, and with further heavy falls anticipated, the danger of widespread flood- exists. The Gloucester Nanibucca. Manning and Hawkesburv Rivers have broken their banks, inundating the low-lying areas. The main western highway is blocked. Rough seas, whipped up by the easterly gale, pounded the coast, and coastal ves.els had stormy passages. The Wanganel’a. from a Tasmanian cruise, arrived a f the Heads, rolling in :i heavy beam sea, but was only an hour Late. The cyclone is now moving to the southern part of the State. SYDNEY FLOOD DAMAGE. (Received July 30 at 10 p.m.) SYDNEY. July 30. A brick wall, which had been undermiued by the prolonged rain, collapsed to-day at Leichhardt, and toppled on to a house fifty .feet below.
