ARMS EMBARGO. RUGBY, July 25. A Geneva message states that at. the, request of the British Governmenr, Senor Castillo Najera. President of the Committee of the League of Nations, which, is dealing- with the dispute between Bolivia and Paraguay, dispatched to the eighteen countriewhich have not yet replied regarding the suggestion of an arms embargo, an intimation that the British Govern went is ready to order, without any exceptions regarding current con tracts, a suspension of the export of •war material. The British Government desires* to know whether othe; States are prepared, on their part, without reservation. and if possible before tihe end of the month, to agree to a similar embargo.
