353 MELBOURNE CUP ENTRIES.
SYDNEY. .Tune 6. Excluding New Zealand and Westrm Australian entries, 351 horses have been nominated for the Melbourne Cup, compared with 276 last year. Because it is the Centenary rear. the Cup has ten thousand pounds added. Caulfield Cup entries total 322, Epsom 121 and Metropolitan 125. An interesting entry js that of Winooka for the Epsom, the Toorak Handicap and Cantala Stakes. Winooka’s owners stated that if the horse did not show his best form at Arlington Park, ho would be brought Lack to Australia.
