IRISH POLITICS. (Received May 9 at 9.10 p.m.) .DUBLIN, May 8. The Dail Eireann has passed the second reading of the bill to abolish University representation in the Free State Parliament. The voting was 58 for and 34 against. Professor O’Sullivan said the Government introduced the measure in order io gain two votes. When Mr Cosgrave declared that the bill was an injustice for the Protestant minority, Mr Ryan retorted: “That is a deliberate untruth!”
