Taylorville, seniors weiii down to Greymonth seniors in an interesting and hard-fought game. Grey juniors and Runanga fought out a drawn game. Dobson seniors beat, Blackball seniors by live Io iwo. The games in th,- ol)ie>.- grades were well contested. The. following are Ihe results;— GREYMOUTH I. (6) v. TAYLORVILLE L (3). Greymouth seniors defeated Taylorville al Victoria Park on Saturday, after a hard fought game. The play was interesting throughout. Greymouth led by three goals to nil at haff time. but. Taylorville showed better form in the second spell and put on three goals to Greymouth’s three. During the match Tcnnent was replaced in goal by Hunt. The. Taylorville goalkeeper was hard worked to keep out some well-directed shots. De Freatus, Marley, Hall, F. Bayley and Timlin were outstanding for Greymouth. Maughan was Taylorville’s chief attacking link, whilst Tennent ami Cowan played good games also. The teams were; — Greymouth: Stitt. McNeil. Hall, Wood, Timlin. Rostioaux. De Freatus. Bayley (2). Martin. Marley. Taylorville: Tennent. Mills, Rutherford. King, Cowan. Hunt. Maughan. Wick, Glenn. Hoggarth. Menzies. Taylorville nearly scored in the first minute, and again pressed, the goalkeeper bringing off a good save. Taylorville wore soon after in a scoring position when offside play spoileo their chances. Maughan twice shot from favourable positions. A clever Greymouth movement, in which De Freatus and Bayley were prominent, resulted in the ball being shot over Hie bur. Play swept down to the other end of the field, but good combined play resulted in De Freatus scoring a good goal for Greymouth. Greymouth 1; Taylorville nil. Greymouth continued to press. F. Bayley kicking behind. Good football was to be witnessed, but the long grass spoiled fontwork. A foul against Taylorville gave (I reviuouth a good opening ami F. Hall (Greymouth) was playing a great game at left back. A sparkling minute of play saw Hunt make a good save. A good run by Taylorville ended in Maughan goaling. —Greymouth 5; Taylorville 3. Soon after Maughan again narrowly missed heading through. Greymouth then set up a hot offensive and N. Bayley shot for goal, the ball rebounding off the upright. De Freatus smartly sent in for a good goal.—Greymouth 6; Taylorville 3.

Mountford w'ith a nice header saw Coutts clear, but Torq Anderson with a cross shot found the net.—Blackball 2; Dobson 2. For Greymouth. .Roche (3), Mulquceu (2) and Hopkins scored goals, whilst Erskine netted for 'Taylorville. Mr W. Sharpe was referee. COBDEN IV. (3) V. TEC. IV. (1). Coden Jost the toss in the game at Cobden, and were set to face the wind, but by good passing movements were soon in the ascendancy. Play went with a good swing. 'Tech were lucky to keep their goal intact when R. Inglis had two great shots, just going over the bar. Cobden were playing a nice swinging game, McLean keeping his wing men going. There was no score al half time. The second half saw Cobden putting on pressure, McLean subsequently scoring.
