WELLINGTON, February 15The weather, report and forecast are as follows:—'(General situation: A moderate depression is crossing the South Island. Pressure is rather high to the norlb. An auti-cyclone i.s moving on to south-eastern Australia. l-'orecasf : Winds w est Io south over Otago and Southland; elsewhere West lo worth. A more definite southerly change, is coming shortly in the south extending gradually northcards, its force being mainly moderate. Seas in New Zealand waters rough about Cook and Foveaux Straits, and rising generally on the west coast; otherwise smooth to moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea: Moderate to fresh north-westerly winds, backing later to southerlies; seas ynodorate. Weather mainly fair to cloudy; warm af first, but, som ( > scattered showers in the districts with a westerly aspect. MoTe general rain is likely after 12 to 24 hours. Cooler temperatures.
