FOR LIVE STOCK Addington Sale (Our Own Correspondent.) CHRISTCHURCH. February 14. Better prices prevailed generally at to-day’s live stock sale at Addington which Messrs IL Matson and Co. re view as follows: — There was a large yarding of store -lioep in all departments. The adult sheep comprised chiefly aged and travelled lots. Heavy prime bullocks sold from 22s to 24s per hundred lbs., primp handy weights 23s to 235. light from 20s. inferior from LAs. Prime heifers realised from 22s to 24s per lOOlbs 'medium 21s to 225. light from 20s. extra heavy cows from 18s to 20s. prime 20s to 225. medium IGs to 18s, and inferior from 14s fid per hundred lbs. There was a large offering .of fat pigs, many of which, being unfinished, met with a slack sale. Good quality baeonets and porkers sold readily. Porkers realised from 29s 6d to 34s 6d. heavier 36s fid to 39s 6d. extra to 42s fid. the average prices being 5d to 5-]d pe r lb. Baconers fetched from 47s 6d f o 55s 6d. heavier £3 to £3 10s, and extra to £3 15s fid; choppers 38s to £5, according to weight.
