DIVES AGAINST LEDGE (Per Press Association.) WAI,ROA. January 23. 'l'he body of Bertram Buckler, aged Hi years, a native oil Wellington, who was drowned on Sunday, was recovered to-day. Il appeal's that lie and another lad went bathing In (living. Buckler hi,- his head on a ledge, rendering him unconscious. He failed to come to the surface. His companion. Williams, endeavoured to recover the body but was unsuccessful, and it was not till to-day that i‘ was brought from the waver- When found it showed considerable abrasions across 'the face, which undoubtedly meant the j-.'uuning of the decea.sed. causing hi® death by drowning.
