German Invention MAGNIFIES 25,000 TIMES. (Aus. & N.Z. Cable AssnA (Received January 23 at 8.40 p.m.) BERLIN. January 22. The High Tension Institute nas produced an apparatus rendering the normal microscope obsolete. The new <b vice utilises the cathode rays, which are diverted by a magnetic field from their normal path, thus magnifying an object twenty five thousand times. The object must be viewed through a special screen or on a photographic, plate.
