GREY II (4) v. DOBSON II (1). These two teams met af Dobson on Saturday and took tin 1 livid as follows: Dobson: W. Hamilton, Mr Sporran, King, Stokoe, D. Hamilton, Wick, Kerr, Banks. R. Wick, Hassan ami E. Wick. Greyniouth: Lamberton, Swinburn. Wright. Larking. Restienux, Burn. Ross, Marley, De Freatus, Eatwdl. K nupp Referee: Mr R. Nelson. Grey mouth wore first away, and King relieved but they camo back again and gained a fruitless corner. Dobson came up, Stokoe sending to RWick, whose first tinier, went inches past. Grey forw-ar Is combined well, ami a dangerous position was relieved by Hamilton. Stokoe then gained a fruitless corner, but back again raved Grey, and Knapp shot narrowly past Restieaux then camp in, to send in a hard shot, which McSporran did well to head out. Hamilton sent on for Hassan to shoot inches past. Grey attacked, the ball striking the bar. and rebounding, to be sent straight back into the not by Eat well to give Grey the lead. Grey 1, Dobson 0. Back again came Grey and Knapp shot over the bar, from a- right wing cross. Halftime camp with no further scores. Dobson broke through on resuming, and from a nudev in the goalmouth Kerr scored. Dobson .1, Grey 1. The Grey team were combining well, Restieaux sending up the centre* for De Ereatus to score close in. Grey 2. Dobson J. Still Grey continued to press ami gained a corner which was badly placed. Do Ereatus secured close in. and scored with a fast rising shot. Grey 3, Dobson 1. Hamill on then tried to score, he going well in before losing possession. Back camo Grey, ami the Dobson ’keeper made a brilliant save, but, the rebounding ball was quickly returned into the net by Eatwell Grey L Dobson 1. Dobson now started to play better than at any other period of the game and a little more steadiness in front of the goalmouth would have reduced the arrears. Kerr made a nice move, and gained a corner which was cleared. Grev were kept on Ihe defensivo till near the end, but Dobson forwards failed t° penelrale, the. game ending, Greymouth •I.
