WHITE HERONS
REPORTED IN TWO PLACES. (per Press Association). AUCKLAND, June 19. A white heron, one of the rarest of New Zealand birds, has been at homo at Luke Pupuke on the North Shore. It has been definitely identified as a white heron and not as royal spoonbill, which it resembles. Lake Pupuke is a sanctuary. BLENHEIM, June 19. Curiously enough, in view of the Auckland message, a white heron or kotuku has made its home in Blenheim. It Lus been observed during the last few days from the High Street (bridge. It appears to be quite tame.
