In a good fast professional contest, for the New Zealand lighfheavy championship Ray Nicol 12st. 71bs., of Invercargill, retained his title at Hastings to-night, defeating Billy Sullivan 12st. 6Ubs., of Hastings on points. The champion shaded his 'opponent in the majority of the 15 rounds, Sul livan tiring badly from the tenth round onwards. Claim for £3OOO AGAINST AL. FOREMAN. (Received June 12 at 9.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, Juno 12. A suit to recover £3OOO damages for alleged breach of contract, brought by the All British Arena Syndicate against Al. Foreman, the British lightweight boxer, ended to-day, the jury returning a verdict in favour of the defendant.
