June IL The :mitie manager of the Alexander Mini*, reported on Friday that some new stone had been encountered in No. 3 Level North, but on Saturday night a report stated that this had again faulted. 'The Inangahua Silver Band gave an open-air programme in the Hus pital grounds yesterday afternoon to tin appreciative audience. Th c Band’s music is certainly inspiring, and yesterday's pro', famine showed it to be on the improve. Mr and Airs O. Collins, who spent their honeymoon in the Nelson and Alarllrorough districts. returned to Rcufton on Saturday evening. Airs IL Hocking who is an inmate of the Inangahua Hospital, is making progress towards recovery. Air W. Harvey, who has been in ( hristchureh undergoing treat,ment for his eyes, has returned to Reefton. The Rev. W. Bell, axihn v>as been attending the annual session of th' 1 Diocesan Synod at Nelson, returned on Saturdav evening. The heavy frosts of the past few days have rendered the streets very slippery and unsafe in the early morn in'-, and particularly on the Black’s Point road where the sun’s rays fail to reach the road, the footpath is distinctly dangerous, and more than one have sustained heavy fails. The County Engineer has thoughtfully had sand placed on the concrete footpath at the Bank of N. Z. corner in Broad* way, making it safe for pedestrains
