THE WEATHER
(P’r Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 7. The weather report and forecast are as follows; General situation: A rather intense auti-cyelone extends frohi South-Eastern Australia to Southern New Zealand, aud pressure is still low to the eastward. A cyclone is located off the north coast of New South Wales. Forecast: Winds southerly. moderate in western districts, elsewhere strong to gale, decreasing gradually. Seas (N.Z. waters) moderate on the West Coast of the South Island, but heavy south of East Cape; elsewhere- rather rough to rough. Eastern Tasman Sea:. Light to fresh, south to south-east winds, with seas moderate to rather rough. Weather: For the most part fair to line in western and far northern districts. but some scattered showers •Iscwhere, especially between Kaikotira and East Cape, with hail in ;daces- Cold temperatures, with some iard frosts.
