KARORO SPORTS CLUB. Greymouth’s most popular sports club, the Karoro, will commence their season of old time dances in the United Pavilion to-night (Thursday), and udging from tho popularity of these functions in the past, the opening of the season will be greeted with a large üblic attendance. Billy Williams’ Orchestra will supply the music, which s sufficient guarantee of it being of the best, and popular prices will bo charged for admission. KUMARA EALL TO-MORROW NIGHT. Extensive arrangements are in hand for the Grand Hibernian Ball to be held at the Kumara Memorial Hall toTmorrow night, and a large crowd from all parts of the West Coast are being catered for. The Gaiety Orchestra will provide excellent music, while Mr B. Petrie will have charge of lhe floor. REEFTON BALL TO-MORROW NIGHT. The Reefton Catholic Ball will be held at the x Criterion Theatre to-mor row night, and is attracting much at tention from all parts of the district It undoubtedly promises to be the ball of the season. A good supper will be provided, while there will be an abun dance of novelty dances. Steel’s Or chest ra will dispense their usual delightful music. DEBUTANTES BALL. Unprecedented interest among the people of this community is being oc' casioned by the number from Ross, Hokitika. Kotuku, Rotomanu, Barry town and Waiuta, who are to be presented at the Debutantes Ball to be held in the Town Hall on Tuesday, June 13th. The gathering will be representative of every section of the community, which is indicative of the fact, that the function promises to be the greatest social event in the his* tory of the West Coast. The gathering will be distinguished by the pre* sence of the Right Re\> Dr. Brodie, Bishop of Christchurch, who will receive the debutantes. The general arrangements are in the hands of Mrs L. F. Hogg. Mrs F, M. Dennehy and Mrs J. O’Brien, at the head of the Ladies’ Committee, will present a fare that would not disgrace a royal levee. About thirty debutantes will make their debut, and to ensure the maximum. amount of comfort for pat* rons, heating apparatus will be installed. A specially prepared floor and two excellent orchestras will ensure tho dancers of the means of a perfect night’s enjoyment.
