A iminmimiqim issued by the Organ isatimi Committee of the Monetary and Eeemeniu Conference states that the following resolution was unanimously approved bv the committee: “The Governments of the United Kingdom. Germany. Be'gium, the United States. Erance. Italy, Jaoan ami Norway who are represented on the Organisation Committee, are convinced that it is essential for tln successful conclusion of the conference that measures of all kinds which at the present time mis direct and paralyse international trade b. not intensified, pending an opportunity for H>e conference to deal effectively with the problems created thereby, and recognise the urgency of a .opting at the beginning of the con ference a tariff trace, the provisions of which shall be laid down by common agreement. T h'se governments, bidng further convinced that immediate action is of great importance, them selves strongly urge all other govern-ne-ats ya rt ic i p:it ing in the conference to agree that they will not before June 12. nor during the proceedings of the conlerem-e adopt any new initiatives which might increase the difficulties now arresting international commerce, subject to the provision that they retain the right to withdraw from this agreement at an v time after July 31 1933. on giving one month’s piu’vious io lice t<> the conference.
