(Pep Press Association). WELLINGTON. May 14. The weather report and forecast are as follows:—General situation: An intense anti-cyclone now is passing north of New Zealand, while a vigor ous depression is advancing across the Tasman. Forecast: Winds north to north-west, moderate* to strong gen- k erally, and rising to gale force in * places south of New Plymouth and Castlepoint. Seas (N.Z. waters): Rough on the West Coast and about Cook and Foveaux Straits; elsewhere moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea: North-westerly winds, moderate in the northern portion. with moderate seas, and strong -1* to gale force* in the south, with rough soas. Weather cloudy to overcast, rain in the districts with a westerly aspect from Kawhia southwards, and gradually becoming fairly general. Temperatures mild.
