Championship Tourney Matches in the West Coast championships were continued at the Ata. kura Club’s lawns yesterday morning in showery weath-r and owing to rain setting in solidly only a few matches were played The result of yesterday morning’s play was -as follows: — Championship Singles, First Life: — Airs Aleycer (Grey) beat Airs Topliss (Grey), 26/18; Airs Gillespie (West port) beat Airs Whiblcy (Grey) 26/22; Airs Tennent. (Grey), beat Airs Robertson (Grey) 26/16. Second Lif e : AJiss Hambleton (Grey) beat Airs Tennent (Grey), 26/24; Airs Alercer (Grey) beat Airs McCracken (Runanga), 26/10.
Handicap Singles:—Airs MercQr (Grey), 5 bisques, beat AIr s Alborn (Reefton), 10 bisques, 26/15. Handicap Doubles:—Airs Allan Smith and Airs Reynolds (Grey), 6 bisques, beat Airs Kearns and Airs Alborn (Reefton), 10 bisques, 26/13; Airs Orsbourn and Alr s Wicken (Reefton), 6 bisques, beat Airs McKay and Airs Topliss (Grey), 5 bisques, 26/4. The Putting Competition was won by Airs Fogarty.
