Since then no tidings of him have been received. ACCIDENTS. .PALMERSTON N., February 16. William Graham, a young man, a resident of Fcilding. who, witli two others, was injured in a collision between two motor rycles near Bunnythonpe. on Tuesday night, died in hospital, to-day from a. fractured skull and other injuries CHRISTCHURCH, February 15. Suffering from tin* combined effects of a severe electric shock and a heavy fall from the top of an eighteen-foot. la<lder, Jack Beatty, a married mail, of Sullivan Avenue, Opawa was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital this morning in a serious condition. About ten o'clock Beatty, who is employed by (he Railway Department was making re[»airs to the overhead electric gear on the Lyttelton line running through Woolstoii. when he received a shock of 1500 volts from the wires. He fell to the ground and suffered head injuries. He was treated by Dr Taylor, who arrived on the scene within a few minutes and applied artificial respiratory measures which rallied the injured man. Beatty 'was then removed to the Christchurch Hospital. He is reported to be seriously ill from the effects of shock and head injuries.
