Forecast: Strong northwest to wester!v winds, backing later to west, or in places south west Seas (N.Z. waters): Rough on the West Coast, moderate in parts of the coastal waters on the East Coast, but rough off shore. Eastern Tasman Sea: Strong westerly winds and rough seas, with a heavy southwesterly swell. Weather: Mainly fair and warm in the eastern districts; changeable in western districts and on the high levels, with rani at times; further heavy falls of rain on the West (’oast of the South Island; later, the rain extending to parts of the eastern districts of the South Island.
