A British Official Wireless message stated that, in accordance with a dosire expressed by himself, FieldMarshal Robertson’s funeral will be private, although the first part of the service will be held in Westminster Abbey. In a message to Lady Robertson, the King and Qnoen referred to the affection and esteem in which they held the late Field Marshal, and they added: “The Army will mourn the loss of one of its senior Field Marshals, • whose remarkable career and invaluable service in the Great War will ever be recorded in military history. Tho death occurred a t the Nelson Hospital at 9.30 o’clock yesterday warning, of Mr Claude Pattinson, aged 25 years. a s the result of a fall from n bicycle sustained in a collision f with another cyclist. Deceased is survived by his wife, formerly .Miss Emily Constance Parfitt, daughter of Mr and Mrs W. 11. Parfitt, Devon Street. Mrs Pairfitt left for Nelson on Tuesday, whilst Mr Parfitt left last evening. At last evening’s meeting of tho Grey I Electric Power Board, a vote of condolence was passed with Mr and Mrs W H Parfitt and family.
