TRADE WITH THE EAST
AUSTRALIAN PLANS. (Aus. & N.Z. Cable Assn.) SYDM EY, Eebruary 9. When the conference on the develop ment of Australian trade in Ihe East reassembled this afternoon, the committees submitted resolutions, which were ado.pted. The substance of these was that an advisory committee on Eastern trade should be formed in each State, at the instance of the respective Governments, representative of the producing, shipping, finance, commercial and manufacturing interests, and be limited to ten members and a secretary. Each committee is to furnish records periodically to the Federal Department of Commerce. It is also recommended that a tradedelegation be despatched to the East at an early date, or, that, alternatively, an official trade representative bo appointed by the Federal Government. The whole question is now in the hands of the Federal Government.
