Japanese Agitation AGAINST THE LEAGUE. TOKIO, February 8. /I public meeting of over five thou sand at Hibisa. Hall, Tokio, addressed by reactionary patriots after the fiercest denunciations of the League, carried a resolution that the League had proved its insincerity, for while upholding the Lytton Report, which was not concerned with the realities, it denied Manehukuo independence and Japan’s right to self defence, and was calculated to disturr the peace in the Far East and stutify the League of Nations. The resolution concluded that it was the nation’s unanimous desire to withdraw from the unreasonable League, and to recall the Japanese delegates immediately. JAPAN’S NEW PROPOSALS RUGBY, February 8.
