DAFFODIL SHOW
West Coast Horticultural Society “Over one hundred and twenty entries have been received for the Horticultural Society’s Spring Show at the Druids’ Hall to-day. Entries have been received from the most prominent of Canterbury’s growers, in addition to nearly all local enthusiasts. The classes other than daffodils have filled wonderfully well, a magnificent display being assured. There will be no sideshows, cooking or fancywork stalls, as the whole of the commodious floor space is being taxed to the utmost to accommodate the record entry of blooms. It is no exaggeration to say that this show will be easily the best spring flower show ever held on the West Coast. All who are lovers of flowers —and the. exceptions are rare indeed—should not miss this unusual array of beauty. The Show will be open from 2 p.m. until 8.30.
