RACING CLUB SECRETARY CHARGED . (Po- Press Association). AUCKLAND. September 22. Arrested in the city this afternoon, Frederick Denehtir McVay, until recent ly. Secretary of th- Takapuna Jockey Club, appeared later in the Po’icc Con it, before. Mr Hunt. S.M., on two charges of theft, lie was charged with stealing from the Club £204 5s lOd between July 1931 and June 1932, and also with stealing £9 on June Ist, 1932. On the application of Detective-Ser-geant McHugh, the accused was remanded until Monday. Counsel for the accused said that he did not intend to ask for bail. On Monday, the accused would plead guilty to all of the charges, and would faeili date the case.
