THE WEATHER

(Per Press Association). WELLINGTON, September 21. The weather’ report and forecast are as follows:—General situation: A slight anti-cyclone covers New Zealand, with its centre still off the east coast of the South Island. A shallow depression is located over the western Tasman Sea. Forecast: Winds moderate and va-riable, northerly prevailing south of Kaikoura and Westport, and south-easterly thence -northwards, but northcrlies . are soon becoming general. Seas —(N.Z. waters) smooth to moderate. Eastern Tasman- Sea: Moderate northerly winds and moderate seas. Weather fair--to cloudy generally at first, but later showers are developing in the western districts and the far north and south. Temperatures milder.
