PULPWOOD SUPPLIES. Lord Rothermcre, head of the largest group of newspapers in the British Empire, stated recently, when referring to the world’s supply of pulpwood, that it was being consumed at a rate which caused grave concern to people acquainted with the facts. According to this authority, it is inevitable that the price of pulpwood will rise within the next few years, and pulp and paper companies possessing large timber limits mush reap considerable advantage.
