BOY SOPRANO
Father Returns FROM SYDNEY. (Per Ptprc Association). WELLINGTON, September 20. Mr A. W. McDonald, the father of the boy soprano, Lex McDonald, returned by the Maunganui from Sydney. Interviewed, he said, that on account of a number of profitable contracts, which th e boy had yet to fulfil, Lex would not return till September 27. While in Sydney, Lex made six records. The usual number for any artist to do is two, as in th c making of these two it is necessary to sing. sixteen songs. It can be realised that the boy has had little time for concert work Artistically and financially, he said, th e trip had proved a wonderful success.
