OVERLAND FLIGHT
From Waiho to Wigram (From Qur Own Correspondent). WAIHO GORGE, September 19. Mr Paul Shoran, of Waiho Gorge has made arrangements with Mr A. Nanuekivell, of Hokitika, as pilot, with th G Spartan plane of the Hokitika Aero Club, to make the first passenger flight from the Franz Josef Glacier, South Westland, to the Wigram Aerodrome, at Christchurch. Weather permitting, the plane wjiloave the Franz Josef Glacier at 9 a.m. to-morrow morning (Tuesday), follow ing th e usual euastal route to Hokitika, and thence across the Alps, vlr Arthur’s Pass to Canterbury. Mr Nancekivell will be glad to ar range with anyone wishing to make the return journey.
