SEASONAL WORKERS’ CASE. Al-- H. E. Holland, Leader of the Opposition. has received the following L-tter (9.9.32) from the Minister of Employmnot:— “Further my letter of the 19th ultimo in reply to yours of the 151 k idem., supporting representations made by th c Rev. Clyde Carr, ALP., in regard to the position of Freezing Works employees under ihe Unemployment Board’s relief schemes, 1 have to advise that the position of seasonal work, ers after fh-e termination of their sea sonal employment has he-’ii receiving carefut .consideration by Hie UnCimploymcnt Board which Ims decided that {<hc maximum measure of relief which may be granted to a seasonal worker during the “off period” shall be such that, whc n added to his earnings for th” working season does not make a total greater than £26 above the full measure of relief which he might have gained had he been wholly engaged on relief work under Schomp No 5 for the whole I y ear. ’ ’
