Elsworth Vines, teamed with Sat oh, of Japan, defeated Austin (England) and Stoefen of Los Angeles, 7/5, 3/6, 6/3, in an exhibition match at the Pacific South-West Tennis tournament. Stefani (Italy and Avery (Britain) defeated Kuwahara (Japan) and I'rusoff (United'*States) 6/3, 5/7, 6/4. Mrs Va n Ryn and Bryant Grant (United States) defeated Miss Carolin Babcock (Los Angeles) and Cliff (Britain) 9/7, 6/3, in the mixed doubles.
