Officials of the Aluminium Company of Canada, said, to-day, that they were in effect, but not literally trading Canadian aluminium for Russian oil, but gave no further explanation. The oil tanker, Aase ATaersk, arrived here with 9000 tons of crude oil from Batum, Black Sea. Russian oil is not one of the commodities coming under the Canadian embargo, according to a statement by the Department of National Revenue.
