The Prime Minister arrives from the south to_n.or.ow morning after a week’s absence, and ho will be accompanied by rhe Minister of Lands, Mr Ransom who has been in Canterbury on official business. The Minister of Agriculture. Mr Macmillan, will return to Wellington from Taranaki tomorrow morning. Th e Prime Minister and has colleagues, with others, will go out I to the Monowai in the stream in the l Government Steamer “Janie Seddon.” i Both Mr Coates and Mr Gullett have I accepted invitations to attend a lunch, eon being given by the Chamber of I Commerce on Monday, and th e speakj ers will include Mr R. W. Dalton, formj erly His Majesty’s Trade Commission.ler in New Zealand, and now Trade ' Commissioner in Australia, and Mr J. jW. Knox, President of the Melbourne i Chamber of Commerce, who was at Ot. i tawa during the Conference. • Official advice as been received that ; Mr D. Jones, Chairman of the Meat j Board; and Mr H. E. Napier, Fruit Board representative at the Confer, enct. are returning by the Monowai, but it i s not known definitely whether any of the other trade advisers are on board. , A civic reception will be given to Mr Coates in the Town Hall on Tuesday evening. Thi s gathering will be of particular interest, as Mr Coates has in. timated by wireless, that he will re. serve his main statement concerning the Ottawa Conference until the speeches on Tuesday evening.
