W.F.A A meeting of W.F.A. was held Jasevening. there being present Messrs J. Sharp (chair), W. Robertson, E. Fioo 1. E. Airey and W. Sharp. An apolug) was received from Air F. Smyth. Ou a motion, it was decided to send a deputation to interview Mr Schaof with a view to running a Saturday night dance in connection with school football. A referee’s report from• Runanga advised his having ordered a Taylorville player off for using tad language. It was decided to issue a warning to the player concerned. A challenge was issued by Taylorville for the Blackman Cup.

A letter was read from the Ne.v Zealand Council advising the closing date for the Chatham Cup entries as Maj 1. This date has been exiteuded for two weeks. Four local clubs nave nominated, and any other nomination.must be in the local Secretary’s hands by the 10th.

Correspondence from the N.Z. Couu cil also contained information re playing areas, the said areas being again in accordance with the laws of the game. In view of enquiries for results of • local games, the Association decided to request referees of the various games to phone the results to No 350 immediately after the games. A request was received from the Technical School that their junior an i third grade teams be relieved from fixtures for the next three Saturdays.

It was resolved that referees be aaked to adhere to the old rules in connection with the throw-in, and carry ing rules until further notice. Fixtures for Saturday are:—Senior: Greymouth v. Runanga, (referee S. ITewison),; Blackball v. rtobden (referee H. Ritchie); Taylorville v. Dobson (referee C. Hogg) at Taylorville. The first named Clubs have home games to start at 2.45 p.m Junior and third' grade fixtures wiR appear in a later issue.

New Zealand Council COMPETITION ARRANGEMENTS. WELLINGTON, May 3. The Council of the New Zealand Football Association to-night acceded to a request from the Auckland Football Association to lift the suspension imposed on a player to the end of 1932 for ungentlemanly conduct. The player had seen the error of his ways, and the Emergency Committee had agreed ito the reinstatement, the player to be informed that any further misconduct would result in his going out of the game for life. A request from the Buller Association for financial assistance, was referr -d to the Finance Committee.

Wellington, and Auckland Associa tions asked for an extension of the time of entry for the Chatham Cup, as the notice given was not long enough. An extension of time to May 14th, was agreed upon. Entries received were:— Buller (four), Canterbury (six). Otago (Four). A challenge from North Auckland for the Brown Shield, was referred to the Competition Committee. A draft of a proposed insurance scheme for players was received from the Wanganui Association and was referred to Mr A. J. Hyder to rep’ort upon. The Hawke’s Bay Association reported upon their progress, and asked for an allocation of boy’s footballs. A similar request came from South Auck land, from wh'ch it wagf reported that three new schools were allowing soccer to be played. It was reported that the Primary Schools’ Tournament for the Webster Shield, would probably be played in Huntly and a supply of footballs was requested, as at least five teams were ■xpected to compete. An allocation of balls are to be made, and an extra £25 is to be spent for this purpose. Challenges from Wellington and Can. terbury Associations for the Football Association’s Trophy, which is held by Otago, were received on the same day. The names were ballottej and the Canterbury challenge was accepted. Mr C. F. Ward, Chairman of the New Zealand Referees’ Association, reported that Canterbury Referees’ Association had app'ealed direct to the Football Association for a ruling on “armg akinbo. ’ ’ The Football Association gave a ruling but informed Canterbury that it should have put the matter through the Canterbury Association. The Football Association decided to ask the New Zealand Referees’ Association for a report o n the matter.
