NEW ORGANISATIONS

FOR UNEMPLOYMENT RELIEF. TO REPLACE HOSPITAL BOARDS. (From Our Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, April 27. “Have you not asked the Hospital Boards to carry on for another three months?” asked Mr McCombs of Mr Coates in the House to-day. Mr Coates replied that the organisation in Auckland, he hoped, would be ready in eight days. It might take a few days longer in other centres. He knew that it would take a little longer. However, the organisation was being tested, and shortly would be ready to go into action in Wellington and Christchurch. “Altogether we hope to have 14 to 22 boroughs under the scheme shortly,” he added.
