EASTER IN ENGLAND. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, March 27. Despite the early date of Easter, England experienced one of the sunniest Good Fridays in the present century, and the fine weather continues to-day in most places. There was not rain anywhere in England yesterday and, although tho wind was somewhat cold, over ten hours’ sunshine was recorded at most places in the country. ! Great crowds are visiting all the usual centres, and one of the most popular holiday innovations was the “hikers’ mystery express” by which the Great Western trains, which had to be duplicated, took walking enthusiasts to unknown destinations, which proved to be the lovely country on the borders of Berkshire and Oxfordshire, and, having provided a route for a walk, brought them back from another centre at night. “YELLOW” JOURNALISTIC “SCOOP ” LONDON, March 29.
