SEVEN STOWAWAYS. RETURN TO ENGLAND. (Aus. & N.Z. Cable Assn). (Received March 30 at 7 p.m ) LONDON, March 29. Seven stowaways were found o n the steamer Port Caroline soon after she left Auckland for England. They wore sentenced to twenty-eight days’ imprisonment at the East Ham Police Court. The prosecution s aid that three the stowaways went to Australia a? assisted migrants. The defendants pleaded that the unemployment is very bad in New Zealand. They had been workless and starving in New Zealand.
