OPERA HOUSE TO-NIGHT. “HONEYMOON LANE.’’ “Honeymoon Lane,” a sparkling comedy, will be finally screened at the Opera House to-night. FRIDAY AND SATURDAY. “ONCE A GENTLEMAN.” EDWARD HORTON COMEDY. Edward Everett Horton, Hollywood’s most popular stock actor, left the New York stage to appear at the Majestic Theatre in Los Angeles, where, over a period of ten years, he was seen in 300 productions. Entered motion pictures in 1922, being seen prominently cast in “Beggar on Horseback,” “To the Ladies,” and in James Cruze’s production, “Once a Gentleman,” to bo presented Friday and Saturday. Horton was born in Brooklyn, New York, and was educated at Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute and Columbia University. He made his stage debut in the chorus of “The Mikado,” and after several seasons touring with Louis Mann, played leads in stock engagements in Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Scranton and Wilkes-Barre. His first, talking picture was a comedy, “The Terror.” SATURDAY NEXT—SCHAEF S HALL. OLD TIME DANCE. Schaef’s Hall on Saturday next will bp running the usual Saturday night old time dance, under the management of the Star Football Club. These popular series of dances have been well patronised in the past, the spacious hall and ideal floor attracting large crowds, and Saturday night promises to eclipse previous records. Mr H. M. Petrie will have charge of the floor and the Gaiety Orchestra, will provide 1 excellent music, while the usual bus services to the country districts will run at the conclusion of the dance., Roll along after the races and have a good time.
