NELSON LAND BOARD
A meeting of the Nelson Land Board was held on Thursday morning last. Present: Mr A. F. Waters, Commission er of Crown Lands (Chairman), and Messrs A. R. Edwards, J. O’Regan, W. Blackadder, and F. W. Gibbs. The business dealt with was:—
Exchange of Tenure. — Section 11, Block V., Reefton S.D., area 208 acres, G. C. Lockington.— Resolved to approve of exchange to Renewable Lease at same rental. Cancellation.— 1000 acres in Blocks JI., VI. and X., Burnett S.D., J. R. & R. W. Silcock. —Resolved to cancel license as at 31/12/31.
Application to Surrender. — Section 25, Block XIV., Oparara S.D., area 4 acres, 3 roods .08 perches.— T. G. Richardson.— Surrender accepted as from 3J/12/31.
Forfeiture.— Run 55, Motupiko Survey District, area 36,000 acres., Jas. Lawson.—Resolved to declare the run to bo forfeited. Application for Land. — Section 662, Town of Westport, area 1 rood.—W. B. Williams. —Resolved to approve application also of proposed improvements.
Foreftiure.— Section 48, Block 11., Kawatiri S.D.. area 193 acres 2 roods 24 perches, E. S. Cain. —Resolved to forfeit.
Correspondence and Miscellaneous. — The Conservator of State Forests, Nelson, forwarded proposals by local bodies as under for the expenditure of fifths and tenths of revenue from State Forests:— Inangahua C.C. for period ending 31/12/31, £ll/12/2; Buller C.C. for period ending 31/12/31, £4/17/11; Collingwood C.C. for period ending 31/12/31, £2/0/4. —Approved. The Board also dealt with 24 items “in committee”.
