WOMAN MURDERED
A Fiendish Crime (Aus. & N.Z. Cable Assn). (Received March 16 at 9.10 p.m.) SYDNEY, Alarch 16. Airs Katherine Simm, also known as Ball, a resident of Erskinville, a Sydney suburb, has been murdered under fiendish circumstances. Her attacker inflicted terrible razor gashes on her back and breast as though trying to reach the heart, and then cut her throat from ear to ear. The neighbours were unaware of the crime, but the police arc now searching for a man who obtained a change of shirt nearby, owing to tile blood-bespattered nature of his own. shirt, saying that he had been the victim of a gang assault.
