Some to Resume IN WESTLAND ELECTORATE. (Special to Argus) WELLINGTON, March 15. In the House to-day, Mr J. O’Brie (Westland), asked Mr Coates if h will take immediate steps to have net authorities issued for those publi works in the West laud electorate to which the authorities wore recent J cancelled, thereby giving access r, settlers and work for the unemployed All of the works for which author'd ies were issued and later cancelled, n said, were in hand. He stated that i one case only £6 of the vote remain©' to be expended. The mon and ch equipment for doing the work were o the ground, and the cancelling o authorities, which would compel th removal of the men and the equipmeu would seriously hamper the work o the countries affected.
Mr Coates, in reply intimated to M O’Brien that where work was in hanc or where a contract has been let, sue authorities would be immediately re [instated.
